Our Principles #usdor

A principle is a belief or an unenforceable guideline governing one's personal behavior or the behavior of a group.  Below are the principles of US Day or Rage:

Please visit our about page

  1. Non Violence

US Day of Rage is non violent. Violence is behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something. Please see resources for information about how to organize and practice non-violent civil disobedience or actions.

  2. Principles before Party.

We are an idea, not a political party. We place our principles and objectives before any party or personality.  US Day of Rage, therefore, will never endorse, finance, or lend our name to any other group, association, candidate or party.  We support a citizens right to so affiliate, and we understand that individuals and groups participating or who support US Day of Rage may be so affiliated.

  3. Volunteer.

Every US Day of Rage organizational committee on the state, city, and federal level should be entirely self-supporting, declining outside contributions from any political party, association, or candidate.  US Day of Rage is not a money making operation.  We are citizen volunteers. This is an avocation.  No treasury should be kept.  We do this lest problems of money, property, or prestige divert us from our primary aim, reforming our elections.   Our logo and content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States License, unless otherwise noted.  Use it, just don't abuse it.

  4. Autonomous Except in Matters Affecting the Whole

Individual state, city, and federal assemblies, meetings, and peaceable assemblies are autonomous, except in matters affecting the whole. We do not support, for example, violations to our principle of non-violence, or any US Day of Rage endorsement of another group, political party, or candidate. US Day of Rage dot com, org, etc. is here to help facilitate state and city level organization and peaceable assemblies.

  5. Official Assembly, Meeting, and Protest Calendar

US Day of Rage only endorses events that are on our official calendar . If an event is on this calendar we have verified that the assembly or meeting respects the principles andaims of our organization. In addition, if an action event appears official calendar we have verified that the event has been been organized with legal representation and that legal observers have, when and where necessary, been requested.
