Federal Gov't Announces Intel on US Day of Rage
![]()
This week we received credible intel that the federal government sent an email to law enforcement agents across the nation notifying them several days ago that our country was on high alert for #Sept17 #occupywallstreet, and mentioning US Day of Rage #usdor.
The federal government erroneously considers the organizers of US Day of Rage as "likely high level Anonymous", (which I am now, on the advice of family members and friends printing on all my business cards this Halloween).
The email goes on to say that on September 17, law enforcement agents plan to infiltrate the crowd, to take pictures of participants, and to collect information about the organizers of US Day of Rage and #sept17 in order to "classify" them.
This is why we've received of late many ridiculous emails inviting me, the admin, to IRC Channel #guy-fawkes-is-muslim. 'Hey @carwinb, what happened to that pastebin from @smokeyjoe?' I don't know @fbiagent. I'm too busy trying to make myself useful.
The email sent out this week also explains that US Day of Rage - (which incidentally has 5 publicly announced protests on #Sept17 and also has publicly announced our tactics for #occupywallstreet in NYC, Seattle, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles) - is being organized in the North East.
That information was likely learned from reading my father's blog or twitter profile which has articles with titles like, US Day of Rage "Posterpalooza". He's a retired civil servant and labor leader. Or maybe they learned it from my uncle, a marine and retired law enforcement official, or perhaps my other uncle, a retired district attorney, or perhaps our Tennessee organizer, a former military service woman, or maybe our Florida organizer, a 52 year old woman who joined twitter a month ago, or our Idaho organizer, a man who lost his home to Citibank, or perhaps our Kansas organizer, a young woman who was worried that her fiance in Iraq wouldn't get paid during the budget crisis. I could go on.
Even more likely: The FBI just assumed as much, because they are incompetent and they just don't understand the Internet. More to the point, terror and scaremongering makes Americans pay 3x for the insecurity we could have had for free.
So much for civic space.
I was reluctant to announce this discovery, for fear of scaring people, or demoralizing Americans anymore than they already are when it comes to engaging in politics. This, my friends, is the age we live in: the age of fear, not the age of hope. As for who the agent provocateur on #Sept17 is, he or she is the person advocating violence, creating disorder and chaos, and the person who thinks free and fair elections is at once anti-union, communist, and terrorist at the same time.
Do not be afraid! We are not afraid! Fear is destroying our once proud nation. It is eroding our civic space and retarding our creativity and our economy.
We recommend that everyone take time to read the Ruckus Society's "Security Culture for Activists" (PDF), which we would like to rename, "Security Culture for Citizens" because many of us who are participating in #Sept17 events or US Day of Rage do not consider ourselves 'activists'.
We know there are more good, concerned, and decent people in our country than not. You are not alone and we are not afraid. Now is the time to take a stand. If we do not, our children will grow up in a bleak, bankrupt, and totalitarian future.
What is shocking to our corrupt government is that US Day of Rage is a non partisan group of non-violent citizen nobodies who believe in the radical idea that Americans have a right to freedom of speech, the right to peaceable assembly, the right to natural self interest (left or right), indeed the right to engage in politics through free and fair elections - uncorrupted by disloyal, incompetent, and wasteful special interests that have usurped our nation's civil and military power and who are destroying our democratic republic by preying on the resources and spirits of citizens.
Free & fair elections is a singular demand that enables a plurality of voices and interests. Frankly, it's an idea, any decent law enforcement agent (and we know there are many) could and does support, at least in principle.
Please see our about page and principles.
As Americans we may bang our head on other matters, but on this we surely agree. In a democracy: progressives; unions; conservatives; tea party; and unaffiliated Americans can govern and work things out. In a kleptocracy, controlled by the banksters, we cannot.
Our corrupt elections corrupt every branch of government and lead to myriad ills and abuses of government power. One citizen. One dollar. One vote. Only citizens should make campaign contributions. Those should not exceed one dollar. That, my friends, today, is a radical idea in the United States of America.
